Instagram’s favorite Nemo Lake is a toxic dump!

You might have seen pictures of Monte Nemo Lake in Spain on Instagram many times? It’s one of the most popular and favorite site of Instagrammers but unfortunately now it is turning into a bad experience for them and people are shocked to hear the reality.

Recently tourists who have been there complained about skin problems they are facing after taking a dive into this pool. Not only this, severe rashes on skin and digestion problems are also being reported.

Many people went ill after coming back from this turquoise lake. It is being said that the blue color in the lake is not natural as it is because of, chemical contamination and is considered to be a toxic dump.

As per the speculations Monte Neme is the remains of a Second World War-era tungsten mine and the azure hue of the water is the result of chemical contamination. Dubbed the ‘Galician Chernobyl’, it has proved hazardous to those who have swum in it.

Swimming in this has become really risky as some people have also complained about vomiting for weeks.

An unknown insta user also said that she was very irritated to suffer vomiting and skin rash after taking a swim in the lake, as she didn’t realize that the very pretty Instagram fame waters could turn out to be so harmful to her.

“Brief exposure will most likely cause eye and skin irritation but a long time in the water and digestion of the toxins could cause stomach problems, vomiting and diarrhoea,” Manuel Ferreiro, a doctor at University Hospital of Coruña, told the local news.
