With work being scarce and nowhere to go, daily wage workers are struggling to keep their bellies full. Bangla Sahib Gurudwara provided them with relief by serving them food on a daily basis. Gurudwaras across the world are helping people find fresh food in these trying times and spreading a message of hope and solidarity.
Delhi Police applauded and paid tribute to Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, located in the heart of the city, as they were seen carrying out a procession with sirens blazing as a way to show respect. PM Modi took to twitter and appreciated both, the Delhi Police and efforts of Bangla Sahib Gurudwara.
Here is what he wrote.
The procession was led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Eish Singhal with the intention of appreciating this humanitarian deed. The gurudwara also offered to provide its premises for coronavirus patients and a shrine was lit on the evening of 19 April to extend the hope and support to frontline workers.
