Mussoorie is a scenic hill station located some 35 kilometers from Dehradun in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Kempty Falls
This place is placed at an altitude of approximately 1,364 meters above sea level and is surrounded by high mountain ranges. It is downright wonderful to sit here and listen to the sound of water falling on the rocky bed below. People also enjoy swimming in the pool below.
Lal Tibba
Lal Tibba is the highest peak in Mussoorie, with an altitude of over 2,290 meters above sea level offering amazing views of the snow-capped Himalayan range in all its glory. A Japanese telescope has been installed at the edge of the cliff so that the visitors can have a clearer view of beautiful surroundings. The wonderful views and nearby pilgrimage options make this place one of the most famous tourist places in Mussoorie.
Camel’s Back Road
If you will visit this road it will be a walk to remember. Its name is Camel’s Back Road because of the rock which is shaped like a camel’s hump. This road is almost 3 km long. This road starts from Liberty Point and ends at Kulri Bazaar. It is a little crowded during summers and attracts tourists from all over. It is good for a walk and you can get amazing views of the valley and the mountains from here. Gun Hill
Gun hill is the second highest point in Mussoorie. To visit this place people take a cable car ride and it is another major attraction that pulls a lot of tourists. The place lies at an altitude of 2,024 meters above sea level. It’s a 10 minutes’ ride that starts from Jhula Ghar to Gun Hill. You can enjoy amazing views of the mountains and fields of Doon Valley up the hill on the ropeway and the stunning views of sunset.
Mussoorie Lake
This lake is located around 6 kilometres on the Mussoorie-Dehradun road, this lake was developed as a picnic spot by the city board and the Mussoorie Dehradun Development authority. It is a nice small lake, which is created by a natural waterfall. You can see good small waterfall while going down from road to lake in the way and ducks swimming in lake, you can also ride a paddle boat here and enjoy the amazing surroundings.
The Mall
This place is famously known as the Mall road, it is the best place for shopaholic tourists with everything in the same location. This Mall is the lifeline of Mussoorie with almost everything located here, street shops, hotels, restaurants and amazing game points.
Christ Church
It is the oldest churches in the Himalayan ranges by the Britishers during the British colonization in India built in 1836. The church is having Gothic design and architectural styles, the stained glass windows in the Church symbolize the events in the life of Jesus Christ. Apart from this, the Church also presents the sufferings of Jesus Christ. The walls and interiors of the church are beautifully decorated and grab the attention of visitors.
