Dubai has changed its rules for people arriving in Dubai via flight and they can skip the Pre-Departure PCR Test as per the guidelines of COVID-19 Command and Control Centre. This exception has been made for passengers coming from GCC countries. This rule has come into effect.

This rule is only applicable to people arriving by flight and not for those traveling via roads. PCR test has to be taken 96 hours prior to departure.

UAE residents who are tourists and visitors coming to Dubai from GCC countries can take the PCR test on arrival at Dubai Airport. The passengers are also required to quarantine till their test results arrive.

The new guidelines have been issued recently and previously, passengers from GCC countries had the option to present a negative test result certificate upon arrival.

The coronavirus cases are comparatively less in the UAE and travelling guidelines are changing as per the situation.
