Nag Tibba, Uttarakhand:
This particular slope is at an altitude of about 9,915 feet. The duration of your trip to Nag Tibba would be 2 days. This is probably the easiest and the shortest Himalayan trekking points. Beginners usually start trekking with Nag Tibba. The incline of the hill is both high as well as steep. Moderate fitness level is vital in order to enjoy the trekking completely. To reach the top of Nag Tibba, you will come across the beautiful trail of forests. This mountaintop offers some breathtaking views of the other peaks like Trishul, Nanda Devi, Kedarnath, Bandarpoonch and Swargarohini. Deoriatal- Chandrashila, Uttarakhand:
This slope is at an altitude of about 12,080 feet. The duration of your trip here will be somewhere between 5- 6 days. Deoriatal’s level of trekking increases from easy to moderate. Here you can find everything, from forests to lakes, beautiful sunsets to shrines and much more. This summit is known for its amazing bird watching as well. The nearest railhead to this slope is Haridwar and the base village is Sari. Here you can hire guides and much more.
Kedarkantha, Uttarakhand:
This hill is at an altitude of about 12,500 feet. The duration of your trip here will be somewhere between 4-5 days. In December, this slope arises through alpine forests, is camped near a frozen lake, you can walk your way through many inches of snow and see the most stunning trail of stars. You need to be covered properly as temperature here goes way below zero. After reaching the peak of Kedarkantha, you get the infinite view of the Himalayas. The nearest railhead is Dehradun and the base village is Sankri. Camping gears are not easily available in Sankri, so make sure you carry your own.
Sandakphu. West Bengal:
This summit is at an altitude of 11,930 feet. The duration of your trip here will be about 6 days. The numerous gorgeous views that you get from this hill are worth a little paining limbs. From here you can witness the magnificent Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Kanchenjunga. Here you can find tea houses and many Tibetan communities. While trekking you will experience a gradual altitude gain, so keep yourself well hydrated. Also it is important to carry your passport when visiting this area. The nearest railhead is New Jalpaiguri and the base point is Darjeeling.
