Auli is a popular destination for skiing in India. Located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand,it is also termed as Dev Bhumi (Land of Gods) due to the presence of most important pilgrimage holy places in the state. • Trishul Peak
Trishul Peak is one of the places where skiing takes place. Located in the Kumaon region, the place is famous for Nanda Devi National park. There is also a mystical lake Roopkund located on the foot of the peak.
• Auli Ropeway
This Ropeway is the major attraction in Auli that offers wonderful and majestic views of Himalaya. It is the highest and longest ropeway in Asia after Gulmarg. The cable car covers the distance of 4 Kms, it is locally known as Gondola.
• Gurson Bugyal
Situated at an elevation of 3056m above sea level Gurson Bugyal is a picturesque location from where you can view the Himalayas. 3 KM trek from Auli will lead you to this scenic location.
• Ski resort
Auli is a famous destination for Skiing. Auli Cliff Top Club is one of the prime Ski resorts of the region. All the facilities and equipment for skiing are provided by the resort. The slopes here are covered with Oak and Deodar forests. The ski season starts around December and goes up till March.
• Auli Artificial Lake
Auli is also home to one of the world’s highest manmade lakes situated beside the Cliff Top Club. This lake was developed by the government to create artificial snow on the slopes. It is only 1 km away from Auli.
