With the lockdown being imposed, the only positive effect of it was reduced pollution levels around the world. Lesser cars on the streets and inoperational plants with heavy machinery were shut down and that reduced the amount of waste produced and emission of harmful gases.
Many pictures of rivers looking clearer, animals roaming freely and better visibility started to circulate on the internet and people in India also noticed that Mount Everest was visible again from Kathmandu Valley. The photo was taken 200km away from the mountain and was originally clicked by Abhushan Gautam for Nepali Times.
