Switzerland is the dream destination for everyone to visit at least once in a lifetime. If you haven’t been to this country yet then; it’s a perfect time to plan your vacation as Switzerland is all set to be fully open for visitors starting from May 2, 2022.
Recently, SEM (Switzerland’s State Secretariat of Migration) announced the lifting of all restricted entries which had been affected during the pandemic’s time. Adding to this, the Deputy Director and Marketing Head of India, Switzerland tourism Ritu Sharma added that Switzerland has always been on the top of travellers’ wish lists and that’s why it will be fully open from Monday onwards.
With the new travel protocols, the general norms of travelling to Switzerland that existed before the pre-pandemic time will be restored wherein, some COVID-19 travel restrictions have already been removed during February. Now, to have a restriction-free entry in Switzerland, travellers are required to carry their valid vaccination certificate however, after the announcement of new entry rules, vaccination certifications will not be required.
From May 2 onwards, as per the Swiss authorities, travellers are required to carry their passport and visa to have hassle-free travel and accommodation in Switzerland.
