The Andaman and Nicobar are a group of islands. These mainly lie in the Bay of Bengal in a region named after them:  the “Andaman sea”. For all the history Fanatics, cellular jail is a place you should pay homage to. This jail is located in Port Blair and is the iconic symbol of the freedom struggle of India and has been designated as the National Memorial. It was built in 1896 by the British to keep captive the Indian freedom fighters. Some of the famous inmates of the Cellular jail were VinayakDamodarSavarkarand MaulanaAhmadullah.  The Cellular jail hosts a Sound and light show  in memory of those who sacrificed their lives in the name of our country . This show is hosted every evening. It relives the pre independence periods of bloodshed and sacrifice and pays tribute to the brave soldiers who died in the altar of their country.

The currency of these islands is the Indian Rupee. These Islands never see winters. These are warm and pleasant throughout the year. These islands are the first to be touched by the monsoons . These islands are very hot between March and May. The best time to visit is between November and April.

Apart from having delicious assortment of sea food ,the islands are known for having North Indian and South Indian food. This place has delicious dishes ranging from dosa and idli to naan and paneer.
