This Tulip Garden in Uttrakhand mesmerizes Tweeple

During this lockdown, we all are taking out time to enjoy the beauty of nature. Every day in the evening I go on the terrace to look at the blue skies and breeze. All of us are also enjoying the wonderful pictures of Mountains shared online.

This makes me talk about a picture recently shared by Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. The pictures show the Tulips bloomed in 50 hectares of land in the Pithoragarh district. This was a successful result of growth trials successfully conducted in the area.

Check out the tweet:

As per the experts, Munsiyari, which is situated at an altitude of 7,000 feet, has suitable climate conditions for the germination of Tulips. The garden is reportedly situated amid the backdrop of the snow-capped Panchachuli ranges.

Sanjiv Chaturvedi, UFD Research Wing Head, said: “Research wing of Uttarakhand Forest Dept (UFD) successfully conducted suitability trial for tulip flowering in Munsyari area of Pithoragarh district, which is at an altitude of around 7000 feet; Germination and flowering both were excellent,”
