West Bengal removes travel restrictions in the state

The West Bengal government has decided to ease down the restrictions in the state that were put in place after the emergence of the Omicron Virus. On Monday, the government decided to withdraw all restrictions that were placed on places of tourist interest in the state. Moreover, daily domestic flights from Delhi and Mumbai has been resumed from Feb 1, 2022

The West Bengal Executive Committee of West Bengal State Disaster Management Authority has decided to do graded restrictions. So as per the new rules parks, entertainment parks, zoos, museums, and other tourist places will open for visitors but with 75% capacity only. The authorities have also decided to open restaurants and bars. 

West Bengal had earlier imposed a night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am, and this will continue to be enforced as of now. However, the timing has been changed to 11 pm to 5 am.

They have also made some announcements related to international flights. Passengers on incoming flights from the United Kingdom to Kolkata will need to present an RT-PCR test report, not older than 48 hours before departure.
