Earlier we saw a heavy tourists flow in Manali, so much so that the roads were choked and now there is a new video of people not following covid norms in Mussoorie. As soon as travel restrictions eased, tourists rushed to top holiday destinations like Mussoorie and Nainital. Hotels are full and there is hours’ worth of traffic jam as people escape to the hills.
The video was shared by So Delhi and multiple Whatsapp groups, in which hundreds of tourists are seen taking a dip at Kempty Falls in stark violation of social distancing rules. People are not even wearing masks, apparently forgetting that the pandemic is still not over. Netizens are angry and shocked at this blatant carelessness of the masses, saying that if citizens don’t learn their lessons, the third wave is not far away.
We ourselves are inviting the third wave by not following covid norms. What’re your views on this?
As the video went viral, social media users expressed their anger. “Empty brains in Kempty,” a user said. Another comment reads, “This is a power move: nahao and mar jao.” One of the users also said, “They all collectively share only one brain cell.”
The sudden increase in the number of tourists is also challenging for the state government. It is difficult for them to ensure that people adhere to the Covid protocol amid fears of an impending third wave of coronavirus infections.
We hope people realize that it’s too soon to go to crowded places.
